Stuhr

I just returned from Nebraska and decided while I was on I-80 to stop by the Stuhr. The 69's tender (outwardly in cosmetic good shape) sits west of the enginehouse coupled to a stock car; the passenger rolling stock (weathered) to the northwest, east of the turntable; and, of course, the standard gauge UP 437 with its rolling stock sits in front of (south) of the depot. On the 437 is a sign asking for donations to Stuhr2000 restoration efforts for the 437 and its passenger cars. It was a warm Sunday afternoon with one of those hot Nebraska winds. A small-sized crowd with not too much traffic in the "town," although there was a GAR/SUVCW Encampment. No comment; just an observation.
