Questions re: years 1968-71 (DRGW/C&TS)

Enough time has passed to make the end of Rio Grande operations and the beginning of the C&TS almost as interesting as older periods in the history of the San Juan Extension. Here are several questions:
1) If I have it right, the last westbound freight was out of Durango in Aug of 1968, and the last eastbound was out of Alamosa in December and terminated in Durango. But when did the last train run on the Farmington branch?
2) When exactly was the Farmington - Chama segment torn up? I remember a fascinating thread two years ago about a rumored "non-revenue" night run from Chama to Monero during the start up of the C&TS. That story would seem to indicate that the track west of Chama was intact into 1970 -71.
3) Were there any servicable locomotives other than 483 at the time of the C&TS start-up in the fall of 1970? Again, it seems I recall in that same thread two years ago, reading witnessed accounts of 492 being fired up and moving around the Chama yard.
Since the statute of limitations for claims and/or criminal prosecution <img class=" /> has long since expired for anyone with participatory "knowledge" of any of these extracurricula events, how about an encore history lesson?
