Well, I guess you learn something new every day! I haven't read anything about cars lost off bridge 45-A, but obviously at least one was. Anyone know details?
There were also a good number of cars lost from the area just above Ophir, at the site of the old depot. The original depot was destroyed by a snow slide (and moved to safer ground), and in later years a number of slides took out boxcars sitting on the siding at that location, sweeping them into the valley far below.
