The Alamosa Chamber of Commerce has been raising money to restore it for several years now and there is a group, the Friends of the 169 who are doing some work on it. I checked the archives and the most recent post I noticed about it was this one, although I didn't do a very thorough search. The boiler is reportedly in pretty good shape and they have gone so far as to retrieve the pilot from the wreck site at MP. 309 on the C&TS for it.
