Thanks for the post. You are quite welcome to take over ALL of my CAD drafting. I bought AutoCAD 2000LT last year, for a live steam loco construction project - which got suspended because there were no subscribers. (I wanted to build twelve 1:20 models of my #5.)
In working on the passenger car project, I've been using AutoCAD, of course. But, I've sure had some trying times. The "osnap" feature can cause surprising results, at times. I've never shouted and screamed at a drafting pencil, T-square, or triangle, but I sure do at my computer. Yesterday, I lost about two hours worth of work because of one false keystroke, which wouldn't "Undo".
I'd like to see your C-16 drawing. Would it cost a bundle to mail it out? Incidentally, the CRRM has a wonderful drawing of the C-16's, done in the traditional style - with shading of curved surface, etc, etc.
