It sounds like you need a one stall temporary paintshop/carshop in Chama. I wonder what it would cost to build a "pole-barn" using telephone poles, tin roof, and cheap siding over the end of the line west of the Chama wye? Just start a hundred feet or so from the west switch points (to give outdoor space for turning a loco and car), put simple barn-doors on the ends, and you have a local car-painting facility.
Every paycheck (?!) add fifty feet to the west end (moving the west end doors with it, and by the end of the summer you have a four car storage track. Two years later you can put every Chama car away for the winter.
As goofy as it sounds, I don't see why this wouldn't work. You'd only need a minimal office on the south side, decent portable lighting, and utilities to make it a winter home for aspiring car-shoppers.
