Here in California we've had several days of rain...up north in the Bay Area they've had 10 INCHES of rain from this storm already (that's rain... it's worse in the Sierra). Hundreds of thousands of people (and I'm NOT making this up) have lost power already, and with the extensive fires around here, Southern California has a very real danger of serious and extensive mud slides. This storm is currently working it's way east to Arizona and Colorado. Hopefully it's supposed to ease up tomorrow...which is a good thing for me and my family, since we are driving back to Tucson on Monday.

I don't think this storm was hyped at all... it's one of the worst I've seen in many years of living in the southwest.
