I'm glad your collection will be safe!
And you're right about scanning and organizing. I have only a couple of hundred slides of any historic interest, and of those only a couple of dozen that are anywhere close to artistic. It is a huge effort to try to scan them and then clean up the scans to correct color balance, get rid of the inevitable dust spots, etc. Ernie Robart has hundreds and hundreds of excellent slides of the narrow gauge from the mid-sixties on. He lent me just sixty from the early seventies for possible inclusion in Volume 2 of the Screen Saver, and I've spent a couple of weeks already and still need to re-do a few that didn't turn out right on the first attempt. I hope his collection will also go to The Friends, but someone will have a LOT of work to do ...
