Thank you for your commments. In one sense, the second part of my question was retorical. I see you have similar thoughts.
The coaches that went away after 6/30/16 acutally went away during the last half of 1916 as seen in the reports filed as of June 30 and Dec 31 that year (the report year was being changed). These are the two cars that went to the White Pass in 1916 [WP&YR accounting summary says they came from Nevada-California]. Internal corresponance with the N-C-O accounting journals at CSRM identifies the cars as being numbers 4 and 6; the the accounting journals are not as detailed as they became the next year.
