Re: NG Interchange U&N/South Park

This has turned into a very interesting topic of discussion. I do not claim to know much about interchange practices on the Utah & Northern as I have only been researching the line for a few years now and that has mostly been through old newspapers. I can say this though. I have seen two pictures of the Ramsey Transfer in Pocatello and both depicted standard guage coal gons (flat cars with sides) lettered Union Pacific. The one picture also shows a standard guage boxcar lined up as though it was in line for the transfer. The only other picture I have seen of a standard guage car on the the narrow guage U&N was a shot of a train with one half of the side of a California Fast Freight box car in the consist. The car really stands out. I am not trying to make any particular assertions just stating what I have seen.
