I remember seeing a lettered pickup truck for D&RGW in one of my many narrow gauge books.
I'd like to make custom decals for a G scale model, but of course I forgot to bring the book to California with me.
Our layout (along with the D&RGW books) is in Colorado, but we spend most of the year in California, were we are now. our Ho layout, main computer, copier, color printer, and Santa Fe railway books are here in California. So while I have the equipment to make the decals, I don't have the right books here.
So my big problem...I was stupid and forgot to bring the D&RGW book with me.
From what I can remember from the photo, the pickup was parked at Dulce NM. Black and white photo of course. It was likely a late 40s pickup truck. With my photographic memory I can almost see it, the photo on the left page in the upper right corner. But unfortunately I'm not exactly sure what book it was in. It might have been in
Robert Richardson’s, Rio Grande Chasing the Narrow Gauge.
Does anyone have this photo, or link to a photo of a company truck? Any photo would work as I'd like to make simple lettering to put on a 1:24 scale pickup. Any post war to early 50s pickup would work great.
I hope someone can help. Otherwise I'll have to wait till this time next year to do it...contingent on me remembering to bring back the book
